EPA-Newsletter 5A/09

A közelmúltban Makai Éva részt vett Koppenhágában az EPA

(Európai Szülők Szervezete) tisztújító közgyűlésén.

Az új  osztrák elnök folyamatosan küldi a friss informáckiókat.

Ezt most közreadjuk:

Dear friends, dear EPA-members,

though still in mid of summer vacations I want to deliver a kind

of appendix to
the last newlsetter. I have to inform you that

I spent a busy day in Barcelona
in July to take documents from the EPA office and discuss

core topics of EPA
work with the former president Diego Barroso.

In Barcelona I also met Antoni Arasanz I Mayolas, president

of FAPEL/spain. I
took the chance to acknowledge FAPEL for the extensive support

of EPA by sharing
a secretary and office during the last months. At the end of reflection on our
common interests in EPA work and organisational matters we agreed that
continuation of this cooperation was not favourable under the new presidency.

There is good hope that the Austrian ministry of education will support

EPA with
an office in Vienna though no contract has

been worked out yet.

In the Newsletter 5/09 I referred to the resolution

“Leave of Absence” which has
to be taken as a main interest of parents in Europe and thus a

core topic for
EPA – but forgot to deliver the link. You find the digital text

(also delivered
on the Skole og Samfund memory stick)

http://www.elternverband.at/LeaveofAbsence.pdf

In addition a scanned version of the original document signed by most of the
participating members in Copenhagen is found at

http://www.elternverband.at/Resolution-LeaveOfAbsence.pdf (4 MB!)

EPA has to contribute to the “EUCIS EQF survey”.

So we ask you to look through
the six questions in the document found at

http://www.elternverband.at/EQF_ConsultationDocument_EUCIS_EN.doc

… and return your filled out documents, remarks and complaints as soon as
possible to
obmann@elternverband.at – please comment

if you have not run across
the terms NQF and EQF.

I just repeat the following two messages from the

newsletter and ask you to take
this invitations really serious:

Urgently decide on your participation in the Viennese conference on
preschool education:

Please immediately look through the questionnaire on migration

Kind regards
